About
Ed Coleman is a shamanic healing practitioner, a musician, a composer, an audio engineer, and former electrical engineer. He graduated Magnum cum Laude from Tufts University in 1984 with a B.S.E.E, and worked in the telecommunications industry for over 18 years.
In his late 30’s and early 40s, Ed experienced a series of events that led him to question “Who am I?” After suffering for years and years with disabling chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and the darkest night of the soul, Ed underwent a process of accelerated mystical spiritual awakening in the fall and early winter of 2003.
While personal growth and spiritual transformation can often lead to deep feelings of peace and long lasting joy, sometimes these experiences can accelerate so rapidly that it can lead to crisis, and in Ed’s case, it did. This has been referred to in academic circles as spiritual emergence and/or spiritual emergency.
Fortunately there were a few very important people in his life that were there for him, and they helped him navigate these new areas of exploration in those early days after his awakening in Dec 2003.
Those crisis of late 2003 and early 2004 have helped increase Ed’s level of compassion and understanding for people undergoing kundalini awakening, psychospiritual crises, transpersonal crisis, transformational crises, etc.
After this incredibly powerful spiritual and psychic awakening , many of his limiting beliefs about the nature of reality were shattered. New levels of awareness surfaced, but in many cases there was no context or framework for the experiences. In the following years, he has traveled throughout the US, South America, Central America, and India to gain a deeper understanding about some of those profound experiences. He has studied with indigenous healers, shamans, elders , spiritual teachers, healers, musicians, artists, and people of all walks of life – all in order to gain a deeper understanding about the nature of reality and the root of all suffering.
During this process, he has connected with an inner framework for healing, and for living in joy and peace. He now shares this wisdom, insight and compassionate love with others in the form of experiential healing sessions, workshops, ceremonies, rites of passage, storytelling, songs, and other offerings designed to help them remember their own permanent joy and peace.
His sincerest deepest vision is that every living being find permanent freedom from suffering , and that we all live in joy, peace, gratitude, and celebration of this great mystery that we call creation.
“May we all find the one and only true lover of our lives, and that is ourselves.“ – erc
